Indian startup Skyroot Aerospace has successfully completed a full duration test firing of the third stage of its flagship orbital vehicle Vikram-1. Named ‘Kalam 100’ after former President and rocket scientist Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the third stage of Vikram-1 was able to produce a peak vacuum thrust of 100 kilonewtons equivalent to about 10 tons and had a burn time of 108 seconds during the testing.
