Communications Satellite (E)
On 17 th December, Indian Space Research Organization ISRO launched its 42 nd communications satellite CMS-01. The launch was carried out from the Satish Dhawan space centre aboard the PSLV C 50 and It was the 52 nd flight of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle. CMS -01 will provide coverage over the entire country for disaster management and satellite internet connection. It should be noted that this was the second launch mission of ISRO during the ongoing pandemic COVID-19.
