With these wise words of wisdom by the great Indian Scienctist of yesteryears, Satyendra Nath Bose, the 7th edition of India International Science Festival (or IISF) was held from December 10 to December 13, 2021 at Panaji, Goa. The Ministry of Earth Sciences acted as the Nodal ministry, and the festival was jointly organized by the former with DST, CSIR and DBT, in collaboration with Vigyan Bharati and the government of Goa. The mission: To help inculcate Scientific Temper among the masses and inspire young minds to indulge in research and innovation. This edition’s theme was - Celebrating Creativity in Science - focussing on Innovation for a prosperous India. This was in consonance with India’s goal of becoming ‘Vishwa Guru’ in the next 25 years. Organized in the 60th year of Goa’s liberation and the 75th year of India’s independence, the festival celebrated Science and Technology with joy and festivity.
